Showing in September 2025 – Juliane Eckert
Just a little bit about Julia.
I was born in Germany and then immigrated to Canada, the land of opportunity my parents said. They were right.
I have wanted to be an artist since I was twelve years old. I was discouraged to pursue art for “it will not pay the bills”. When I retired I finally had the freedom to go full throttle with my art work. I was already a successful Photographer but my passion was art. I took art classes from local artists, joined art groups, participated in juried shows and learned on YouTube. Like a sponge I was so thirsty to learn new techniques.
There were life’s obstacles along my journey of course, but I met those challenges and today I am proud to call myself a Visual Artist.
Watercolour/mixed media is my therapy that weaves me on an inner child like path. Entering the wonderful world of whimsy has inspired my exciting, fun, painting process, and imagination. It is very rewarding to take the viewers on a magical journey through brilliant colours, textures, and many layers, all while putting a smile on their faces.

The Gallery Wall
We believe that brewing beer is as much an art as it is a science and as such we have a deep appreciation for those who pursue the creation of their own art.
When we were building our taproom we knew we were going to have a big white wall to work with. Very early on the decision was made to keep the wall white and the longer we looked at that wall the more it looked like the perfect place to hang art, and the germ of an idea was born. It’s taken a little to make it reality but starting January 2025 we will be showcasing local artist work.
Located to the right of the main entrance and running the whole length of the taproom the gallery wall will showcase different artists work through the year. In some cases the artist may be showing their work and in others cases pieces may be for sale. In All cases the art and any money for any pieces sold are the sole property of the artist.
Preference for the gallery space will be given to local artists but which artists and the type of work shown are at the sole discretion of Meyers Creek Brewing Company. Please be aware we do not have the space to accommodate sculptures. If your interested in showcasing your work with us please reach out to Gretta Barnwell at gretta@meyerscreekbrewing.ca
