Thank you for an amazing year!

It was a year of some challenges and struggles but also of many successes and triumphs. It slipped by us, but we just turned 1 year old. We first opened our doors for curbside pickup on December 28, 2020. So, Happy Birthday to us! Yay!

COVID created some obstacles for us, as it did for many. Thankfully, we found ways to work around it and kept the beer flowing.

The first beers we brewed on site were Stoney Lonesome Extra IPA, Golden Hour Wheat and Wonder Berry Cranberry Sour. We ended the year brewing a total of 14 different beers throughout the year. Not too bad.

Our first beer – Back Roads Vanilla Porter – continued to be available in select LCBO stores across Ontario. Look for it in more LCBO stores in 2022.

We made use of our website and social media to keep you in the loop on what we’re up to. We started the year with curbside pickup only, so our online store seemed to make the whole process a little easier.

This was also a year to getting to know you, our customers. One of the highlights of 2021 has to be our patio. It was so much fun to host you and spend time with you around the fire, drinking good beers and listening to some fantastic local musicians.

Last year, we saw a legislation change that allowed us to join the Belleville Farmers’ Market. Getting to chat with you as you shop and befriending fellow vendors was so much fun! We can’t wait to return this summer.

We also made incredible progress on our taproom. Rick and team have been working hard all year to get it ready. 2022 will be the year of the taproom. Cold beers, delicious food and entertainment – that’s what’s in store for you in 2022 at MCBC. Watch our social media for announcements.

We also have some plans for some new beers. We won’t spill the beans yet, but let’s just say we’ve had some requests we are hoping to accommodate. In 2022, we’ll continue to make delicious beer using local ingredients and sustainable equipment and processes.

So for 2021 we’d just like to say “Thank you.”. Thank you to all our incredible customers for supporting us. Thank you to all our suppliers for working with us to make delicious beer. Thank you to our contractors and trades for all your hard work building MCBC. And, thank you to our friends and family for all your love and support throughout 2021. We are so grateful to be able to make the dream of MCBC come true.
